getting into Diagnostic mode on 04 4Runner NAV

I have a 2004 4Runner with factory NAV system. I am trying to get into diagnostic mode for NAV but it does not seem to work.
From the Sienna forum, they said to hit the display key and then alternately tap lower left and lower right corners of rectangle on screen, but this does not work.
How do you enter diagnostic mode on 4Runner NAV?

I have the stock unit, but I know you have to have the key in the ACC position to have it work. That is the only way I got it to go into diagnostic mode.
