Getting read to install XenonDepot's Xtreme HID 4300k kit, any last min. tips?

Hey everyone,

Getting ready to install their H11 kit in my '06, I will be using this write-up:

Any last minute tips? Looks like things have changed a bit since then, but I should be able to use that as a template. One thing I was wondering about was the harness I will leave unplugged and seal up, would you all suggest I dob some dielectric grease in the socket before I tape it up to keep the elements out?

It's very simple, took me 45 minutes or so - follow the install instructions on the write up link you've posted and the diagram on the instruction sheet that comes with the kit. I did the same install a month or two back. Love the new look on the HID's - still trying to find time to do my fogs.

I'm honestly confused though, as I plugged my HID kit into the factory harness as the final step ---- if you didn't, how else would your lights function?

Thanks I actually just wrapped up, went fine. I mis-read something in the write up so all is well. So far so good, lights are nice and bright and have that factory look very similar to my brother's '08 Lexus. I tucked the wires up and under things and bundled them with zip ties as best as I could, I wish that aspect would have been a little cleaner, but the kit is weatherproof and it's always dry under my hood anyway since this is a DD/ski/misc. rig that doesn't really get "true" off roading. I think some of the wiring was a bit shorter and stuff, so it made it slightly harder to tie things up as neatly as it was in the write up, but overall I am satisfied with the kit and happy how they look in my factory projects.

I also noticed, even after running for a while, they don't put out as much heat as the factory halogen bulbs, so hopefully they will last a long time.
