A hitch mounted bike rack I got off Craigslist. :thumb3:
I think the 4R is huge. My wife and I just got back from a trip up to Oregon for a couple of weeks. When there's just two of you, traveling is easy. I laid down the seats and spread all the misc stuff across the cargo floor, covered it all with a moving blanket, and stuck my bicycle (minus the front wheel) across the whole thing. Planned ahead and had the little ice chest right in the middle behind the seats, and the luggage we needed to access for the hotels at the back end - just lifted the bike some and slid them out. Had no problem with visibility, but it was still kind of a PITA. I got the bike rack off CL a week after getting back home.
If it weren't for wanting to take the bike with me, I think we could have fit everything in the back - there is, after all, a limit to how much stuff one
needs to bring with them on vacation! If we were camping, about the only thing I can think of that might not fit would be our old-fashioned tent with the long-ass tent poles;
that can be strapped to the luggage rack.

Heck, we moved a boy back home from college with the 4R, and all we did was fold down the "40%" side of the back - still mostly able to see out the back!
