Getting rid of the pink!

Well guys i finally started sanding the runner tonight. to got the entire hood done and I will keep on it over the next week or so untill it is done then ill be spraying it with primer. I dont get alot of time to spend working on it so i just have to make do with the little bit of time that I do have. Ill post some pics as soon as i can find my camrea.

In some places yes but not the entire truck.

for some weird reason, the pink doesn't look that bad. what colors are you considering?

I think i might go with Flat Black or maybe Red with black trim or somthing like that. Untill i decide on a color for sure im just going primer gray it. I done the fenders and part of the hood last night and it dosent look too bad. I dont really care how good the paint job looks as long as it isnt pink.

Your 4Runner would look awesome painted gun metal grey....or even dark metallic grey.

A few other people have mentioned gun metal gray too. I may look into it. Here is a pic of the progress.

i vote for flat back. almost everything looks better in flat black.

try looking into john deer tractor paint if your on a budget (even if youre not it looks great). i saw a guy paint an entire car with only 100 dollars worth (primer and paint) the color he used was blitz black i believe.

i could dig up the thread if there is interest shown and link to it (it was on a late 80s bmw 3 series)

That paint job looks surprisingly GOOD. Having painted for a few years, I've never seen someone paint under a tree. The finish looks nice and even.

hopefully, otherwise youre going to have to sand down and clean up more than just the paint if you know what i mean, *wink *wink. hehe.

oh wow that was pretty funny....Id did not buy the truck in jax it was in daytona, and it was a couple that owned it.
