Glass Break Sensor Option

I am the proud owner of a 5th generation 2011 SR5 4WD.
Can anyone tell me why Toyota no longer offers the glass break sensor that was available for the 4th generation 2009 4Runner??? The guy that drove to DC may have been spared the loss of his device in the console if this option was still available...

Ya that would be nice. Im the guy that got his window broken.

I guess I was kind of clueless, I thought it would set an alarm off if someone broke a window. Now I know it doesnt.

If it makes you feel any better Glock, my wife had the same thing happen to her in her CRV. She put her purse in the rear cargo area UNDER the upper shelf...so no way anyone could see it from outside. I watched as she did it and then we went and walked a trail. Came back in an hour and the rear qtr glass was broken out and her purse was gone. It taught us a valuable lesson (btw we are now members of "lifelok" lol) that not only do you have to conceal your valuables but you must be aware of anyone watching you when you do it as that is the only way they could have known the purse was back there.
