Glove Box Lid Removal

Hey Y'all!

After trying to search the forums, didn't find anything so asking here for those who can give some insight on how to remove the glove box lid?

I submitted my T4R to a dealership so they can replace the Takata device, looks like the technician managed to put a dent on the lid.
I was thinking to flame them for this and push for them to replace it, but worried they will do additional damage - it's not the first time a dealership technician managed to damage something.

If the dealer messed it up have the dealer fix it. If they mess it up again have them fix it until its right. There is no reason to waste your time and money trying to fix it. Also I think it's almost impossible to get it off with breaking something.

I hear ya, and definitely agree they should be held accountable.
In the past I've made dealerships right their wrongs.

But in any case, I'm still curious on removing the door :biggrin2:

Just by looking at mine and only pulling some trim peices, looks like you take the whole glove box out and relase the door from the back.

I hear ya. I had a dealership over fill my oil and I didn't want to go back because of the chance it could get worse so I took care of it myself. But if they did damage to something that would cost me money, I'd have a conversation with the service manager and make it clear that I anticipate great service with great results after their mess up. They won't turn you down. They'll put their best person on it.
