i have a 1st gen V6 with a strait axil conversion and ever since i bought it its had a case of the death wobble but recently its been getting worse. I have checked all the tie rods and none of them are shot. I am going to replace my stabilizer this week but when i took of my old one it still seemed good and resistant both in and out. Any suggestion or thing that i should look for? it is a pain in the but trying to just drive around town when i hit the smallest bump and the car starts going crazy. Also when i get my new stabilizer would it be a good idea, if the new one dose not fix the problem, to install the new one somewhere in addition to the older one so that i have duel stabilizers? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I feel for ya man... I had the same thing in my 05 Wrangler. The sad thing I learned is that there is NO one cure for DW. The list is long and gruling and it may be just one thing, two things, or a combination of things. I ended up having to go with all new wheels and tires to get rid of my DW. Found out that the problem was a couple of bent steel wheels that ended up unevenly wearing my tires that would cause DW. But if I were you I would just start with the cheap fixes and go from there.
1. Balance, Rotate, and Alignment
2. Steering Stabilizer
3. Bushings
4. Tie Rod Ends, Ball Joints, Wheel Bearings
5. Track Bar (If your suspension has one)
6. Wheels and Tires
