GO Lakers!

The last layup Lee had looked really difficult. I understand he gets paid a lot of money to make those shots, but even so it would have been an AMAZING play had he made it.

Turk threw the ball a bit long so Lee caught it under the backboard, then had to bring the ball back and go high off the glass. Gasol was coming over (and ALMOST grabbed the rim, which would have been goaltending) and Lee tried to elevate it a bit for that reason too.

They played so much better that I hope they're encouraged by Game 2. Stan Van's decision to go with JJ Re**** at the end was a bit questionable. And it's not only because being from VT I'm pre-disposed to not liking him but because he got 0 playing time all year and then they put him in at the end of the game. :bash:

Oh well, if they can somehow take all three here in town, I'd still give them a 50-50 shot to win. I just hope that after a blowout and a close loss, they aren't demoralized already. :sobbing:
 
Game 2 was awesome, much better than the first blowout. I am stocked I just got tickets to see game 3 in Orlando, upper section, center court, 220 row N!!!!

lucky. i went to game 3 of western conf finals when lakers were here..nothing like playoff games. its so much fun
 
Leftyguns, that place was rockin for sure the crowd was electric and (other than the 60+% shooting) I attribute the Magic win to the 'home court' advantage.

Kobe and Odom couldn't hit a free throw to save their life and it all came down to those missed earlier in the end!

Truly awesome game and worth every .01!!!!
Wish I was staying in town to see game 4 - oh well next year when Lakers make it again :D

The bad is the Kobe played so-so and the Lakers still had a shot at winning game 3 but two more in Orlando could be big for the Magic.

If the Lakers win tonite then it'll be over but I hope I'm wrong.

i was thinking the same thing...how do they shoot 60+% and still barely win? that means they werent playing D cause the lakers took a lot more shots.
 
The Magic completely choked last night. I understand that Dwight Howard isn't a good free throw shooter, but to miss two with the series on the line is pretty awful. Another thing I don't understand is the decision not to foul up 3 at the end of regulation. At the very least, I would have put all five guys in the backcourt around the 3 pt line, and made a shooter either shoot long or run at a wall of people. To have three guys pressing an inbounds pass in the frontcourt when they need a three to tie is inexcusable, imho.

When you leave 15 points on the free throw line and go into overtime, you should have won the game by then anyway.
 
Yep,the Magic had this game and choked down the stretch and once it was in OT you knew the Lakers weren't going to lose. They still haven't lost consecutive games and probably will win the championship on Orlando's court.
 
I think Orlando will pull it out on Sunday, but at this point they will not win 3 in a row, especially where 2 will be in LA.
