Gobi Rack deflectors

Hello all,

I am debating on adding the gobi stealth deflector to my gobi rack for 3 reasons.

1st, Has anyone not had it on their rack and noticed a lot of wind noise.
2nd. Has the deflector cause serious paint damage underneath.
3rd, has anyone had the deflector on but say 1/8 of an inch off the roof/ paint? If so was vibrations noticed?

I've had the stealth rack on my truck since 2017. They give you a strip of clear paint protection film to put under the wind deflector, and between the film and deflector they use a thick rubber weatherstrip.

No paint wear but the weatherstrip did get cut summer of 2021 so I pulled it out and adjusted the deflector down some. Been running over a year now with the deflector hovering just over the roof line and I can't tell any difference. No bad vibes or whistles.

Ok

Thank you for the information.
I did forget to state that I bought my gobi used so it does not have the clear paint protection strip.

yes after 6 years my deflector has worn the paint all the way through,I did not have any clear paint protection underneath it, and if you adjust up where it doesnt come in contact with the paint it vibrates like hell and slaps the roof.
