I wonder how long order status inquiries take. I get the whole "they're busy would you rather they respond to your email or weld your rack" mentality, but it's kind of funny to me that a company that's perpetually swamped with orders can't automate this kind of thing.
I'm not mad or anything, I just think it's kind of insane that nobody on the Gobi side of things is like "this system sucks, maybe we should get someone who understands technology in here, and expand our operation so there's not a 5 month lead time on our product that's basically some extruded steel and some tubing."

Shipping company called should be in by end of week, so roughly 16+ weeks. I was figuring 20 so they are shipping and arriving within their estimate as well as mine.
Stealth no-rise installed today (as part of initial cost which is cool). Good folks. It was available a few weeks back, but I rescheduled a couple times due to snow/slop (wanted a clean install 'cuz I'm a bit uptight lol). Very happy. :dancin:

What was your confirmation date? I still haven't heard back from my order inquiry and I'm pretty sure I had to have been one of the first people who confirmed their order.
Nice... my confirmation was 2 weeks after you so I hope the shipment date is coming up soon.
Seems like no rhyme or reason unless it's somehow geographical. I put in an official order inquiry on like Monday and hadn't heard anything back by Friday so I emailed the person directly who had sent me a status update back in December. They replied saying "I'll be sending out an update later today" rather than just telling me the status of my order, and then of course didn't actually send me an update.

It’s a group buy. Assume that they do the racks in batches and send them out in batches so they can bang out as many racks as quickly as possible that are uniform. If you asked everyone that is being fulfilled first the configuration they got perhaps you would find out. Perhaps the stealth, regular rise, 40” lightbar w sunroof was first and they are fulfilling them, and doing same but multi light next. So on and so forth.
As long as people are getting their racks in roughly the time frame agreed upon from the close of the group buy it seems like a lot of complaining and unnecessary communication.

How long did the install take?
I understand logistics, and I'm not salty that my rack isn't here yet as I probably won't even install it until it's not 20F outside. My issue is mostly around lack of communication. Most of us who confirmed early in this GB are 2 weeks past the high end of the timeline. If you're not going to provide a self-service way to track order status, at least be responsive to status inquiries.
