They ship freight, and the rack bit is a solid piece so imagine a box at least that size oriented vertically.

Shipping company called should be in by end of week, so roughly 16+ weeks. I was figuring 20 so they are shipping and arriving within their estimate as well as mine.

For those wondering or trying to compare I ordered stealth, multi light, sunroof option. I did receive a note within my package that 4 plastic screw knobs for the sunroof insert are back ordered and will ship out 5-8 weeks so we’ll see in the mean time they provided plain bolts to attach the insert. I installed yesterday, took a few hours by myself with help getting the rack on top of the 4runner.

Just a note if you have Gobi do the install ... found a couple bolts that weren't hand-tight. Still quite happy (relatively minor gripe), but nothing like doing it yourself I guess.

Just got a phone call, they are shipping mine out this week. Probably would have gotten an email tomorrow but because the CC was expired this month so they had to do direct contact. Can't wait to see it.

I emailed the woman I had been dealing with before and she got back to me, looks like mine is slated to ship next week, so about 20 weeks from confirmation.

mine showed up on Wednesday (Order confirmed on 10/30). Exactly 18wks. Backpack was backordered as well as the removable sun-roof panel bolts. Rack looks great though. Well worth the wait.

I am trying to decide if I should use the 3M protective strip under the wind deflector or not. Is it necessary now that the deflector uses a rubber strip against the roof?

I used the 3m wrap. Can’t hurt and it’s hardly visible.

Got the Gobi

Hey guys, just wanted to give an update. My order was confirmed on October 25, 2019, and it arrived at the freight company on March 2, 2020. I just finished installing it but it's a bit to dark to post pictures. I'll post some tomorrow.

One more thing, once my card was charged it was a week for Gobi to get the rack to the freight company and then another week for the rack to arrive. Hope that helps people with a timeline.
