For those still waiting, mine is reportedly in transit. Order date was March 14. Will update upon receipt.

I know there's a whole thread on installation already, but for any of those that have received their rack already do you have any tips or suggestions for install not found in the main thread?
 
It was pretty straight forward. I layered each thing sandwiched with sealant. The only suggestion I have is to have 3 people do the install of the actual rack. I tried to go from the rear forward but with the 3 inch lift and tires it was pretty hard and we would have scratch something I'm sure. So I had one person on a step ladder on the passenger side and me and another person were on the driver side and we passed out over that way.. I'm sure there are other options but that's what I did. And all three of us are over 6'.. any other questions I'll try to answer the best I can. Hope this helps

Three is a luxury, do it if you can. I ended up doing it by myself!!!
 
Yeah I had to wait for the help after I got the brackets in.. it seemed like a longer wait than actually waiting for the rack to get here.

Actually strangely enough I managed get the whole thing installed today! two of my buddies who are taller than me came by and that made it really easy.

It has arrived and is sat in my garage according to my wife. About 14 weeks since ordering, but most importantly it arrived with 2 days to spare before my road trip. Hooray. Excited to go and get it installed. Thanks for putting the GB together jicko, I think the wait will be worth it.
 
OKAY guys, the last 8 of our orders are in production now. They should be finished by end of next week and be shipped out. Hurray!!

Again - big thanks to [MENTION=119516]jicko[/MENTION], without whom this would probably not have happened!

I received mine yesterday - took me about 5 hours to get the rack up, painfully layering silicone on every layer as suggested by [MENTION=89419]patch[/MENTION]. I ordered on 18Mar for those still waiting.

Going to attempt the gas shocks and ladder tonight. Will try to post pics once all said and done (if there are no disasters).

I gotta say, the rack looks really good!!

Gobi Rack and Ladder installed

Managed to get the ladder up today, also the Gobi rear hatch shocks... Took a total of about 2 hrs.

The shocks are much stronger than the factory ones, needed much more effort to close the rear without the ladder on! With the ladder, feels closer to the original force needed.

Received shipping notice yesterday

Ordered March 19 and received shipping notice email yesterday. I was 37 on the list if that helps anyone on a timeline. :whoo:
 
16-Weeks for me

I ordered on 3/12, received the shipping email from Trail Duty on 6/24 & was contacted by the freight company today (6/30). They should have it delivered to my house by tomorrow. (16-WEEKS) I was #27 on the Group Buy the list.
 
I'm #45 received my roof rack but no Rigid E-series 40" Hybrid Spot/Flood Combo Light Bar. People with package 2 did u receive ur light bar with your roof rack???

Does anyone have a link to a good write up for the wiring of the light-bar on these Gobi racks? Thanks!
