Might have been asked already but has any used the wires that are in their Gobi rack to hook up their rear/front lights?

Wondering if the internal wires run front to back or what?

And for pictures, once I get my light bar and rear lights up with the cargo net, maxtrax, and rotopax Ill post. Right now just sitting in my garage till I have a free weekend to do it all.

Yes. There are 2 wires per side that run front to back. I'm using them for my LEDs. 1 single row x6 LED on each side. I believe the wiring is 16AWG.

Another tips - 6" clear bra

Many of us lay a 6" strip of clear bra (protective film) on our roof where the Gobi fairing/wind-deflector touches the roof. This will eliminate dust/dirt that stuck under there and eventually grinds and hurts your paint.

Or you can try to find similar ones @ your local auto store.

Steps to apply:
1) Clean the section of your roof that you are going to put this on
2) Cut the strip to approx. length
3) Get a bucket of soapy water, soak strip in it, and detach the "white" backing paper in the water
4) Lay that "clear noodle", sticky side down (with the soapy water, it is not that sticky, and that's the goal), and move it around to get it in the right place
5) Push out all the air bubbles underneath the strip while it is still wet
6) Let it dry for a little bit, now the sticky side should become a lot more sticky
7) Trim off excess with a scissor or a exacto knife

I recently moved to a different house and want to be sure it it'll actually clear the garage door/entrance. Could someone measure how high the tallest point of the rack/light sits over the roof of the truck?

I recently moved to a different house and want to be sure it it'll actually clear the garage door/entrance. Could someone measure how high the tallest point of the rack/light sits over the roof of the truck?

I don't have the truck with me here, but what's the height of your garage door? Mine is 82" and my truck+gobi stealth (and E-series Rigid) clear that without issue, and probably still have 6"+.

Truck is not lifted, yet.

If I can recall, I think it's 80" or so. My truck has 1" Toytec spacers in the front and 275/70/17 Cooper ST Maxx's. So about an inch in lift and an inch in tire.

My garage is 80" give or take a 1/4". I clear it with about 1" to spare with Toytec Ultimate and 255/80/17 (32.8") ST Maxx tires. You should have plenty of room.

What rack/light combo do you have?

By the way, Rigid's E-series, when mounted is lower than the top front tube of your stealth rack.

GOBI Stealth with a 40" Curved dual row bar, replica of the rigid. It sits just just below the front upper tube of the rack like [MENTION=119516]jicko[/MENTION] mentioned.

Stock suspension, BFG KO2 stock size, Gobi Stealth, Rigid E-series.

Your 80" opening should have no issue.

That will be WAY TOO TALL for your brand new house. You need to sell my your rack immediately so you can park your nice 4Runner in your new garage. =)
