I contacted Gobi directly today after zero response from Trail Duty. The woman told me my rack is still 2-3 weeks out, a number I can live with since at least I know. That puts me about 14 weeks from order, but my rack isn't their standard configuration so that may have added to the time, plus the group buy, plus the holidays. Hopes this helps those of you who are getting antsy.

I finally contacted them. They said there were being built in groups off the jig based on how many of each configuration was ordered. Mine isn't don't but they did say I would have it my the 12 week mark. That's another 5 weeks for me. Oh well I'm in no hurry.

to anyone who didn't get in on the group buy, i'm in the process of trying to cancel my order due to unseen issues and if for some reason i can not i will have a gobi package for sale if anyone is interested in what i ordered. No mark ups just what i paid for the package

Pretty much. 4th gen with sunroof insert and removable bars.

Thanks for the info, considering we're a number apart on the sign-up list I appreciate you reaching out to them. What the hell that means as far as building & shipping I have no idea, but you've caged my expectations so anything earlier would be a nice surprise!

certainly! I feel the same about it. certainly not the 12 weeks we were promised by TD

I think the estimate was probably a little bold but you've got to consider that they took on over 100 racks plus their normal workload, and also a week between Christmas and New Years when I'm sure they were not running 100%, so the 8-12 weeks seems a little aggressive. That being said, some updates or details for expectation management would go a long way when you've got lots of people eagerly awaiting a big product.

Like so many other things, once that box shows up I'll probably forget about the wait and just be stoked to finally put it on the roof. It makes the thought of the next big trip all the more exciting!

As initially stated. Their business practices haven't improved no matter how much they say they have.

I spoke to them yesterday (not part of the gb) and they said the lead time is 8 weeks. Seems like you guys got a longer wait.

...and a big discount, so I'm okay with waiting another couple months if I have to. Worth it.
