GOBI Roof Rack *Group Buy* Winter 2015

My order was placed on 11/5. Going on 11 weeks. I haven't contacted Gobi or Trail Duty yet.

Contact Trail Duty a few days ago and the email response said that mine should be shipping next week, but they checking with Gobi. Has anyone actually called Gobi directly to get an ETA?

Just got my email yesterday. I was one of the first 10 to order. Shipment said 5-10 and I will be contacted by the freight company.....THERE IS STILL HOPE.

As initially stated. Their business practices haven't improved no matter how much they say they have.
Sorry for the delay and everything you guys went through, and hope you get what you ordered by spring time to start your adventures. !

Maybe they should concentrate on building racks instead of suing other rack company's. More time manufacturing & less time in the courtroom might have made some clients happy. I would never buy anything from these people.

Intellectual property, especially in today's world, is extremely important. If you don't protect your IP, you are going to go out of business. To say that they shouldn't sue other companies means you're telling them to give away their IP for free. That doesn't make sense. Also, as far as I can tell from the list on page 1, you aren't even a part of the GB... so why make comments like this? Seems like you have a personal agenda here. You certainly aren't helping or adding anything of value.

If they feel threatened by a little one man operation working out of his garage maybe they should go out of business.

The point of the comment was that if Gobi employed more fabricators and less lawyers, they could better meet customers expectations for delivery.

You do know that the people doing the litigating are NOT the same people who do the design, fabrication, shipping, marketing/advertising, office admin, etc... work right?

There is a thread (a few in fact) in the general sub forum where you can discuss this issue to your heart's content.

We get it. A few of you don't like Gobi and that's fine. Express your displeasure in the proper place please. If you continue to do so here there will be infractions and bans. For some of you this is the third time I have had to step in here. Come to this section to buy something, or not. Understood? Also if you have a problem with this message then PM me. Don't take up space in this thread.

Are you quoting me from over 3 months ago? I haven't commented since the first few pages 10/06/2015 to be specific? Why am I being pulled into this since the last few pages of post have been people(purchasers/participants of the group buy) exclaiming their wait time, and nothing to do with Gobi and peoples distaste?

EDIT: After further discussion with moderators, apparently my comment was flagged(yes my comment from over 3 months ago was flagged) what I take this as is yet again Gobi trying to sweep everything under the rug. . .give them credit where credit is due, they sure are persistent, and sneaky. . .very very sneaky.

Got mine today!!! There is hope! Came perfectly, awesome powder coat job and removable bars with perfect and adjustable mounts for the 40"LED bar. Couldn't be more happy! Awesome product.

Install this weekend. I'll post pics after

Don't get your hopes up... I ordered the same exact rack configuration as [MENTION=115334]Mistaken[/MENTION] and I was 40+ spots ahead of him and you and my order is seemingly nowhere in sight. At this point... it comes when it comes unfortunately (going on 15 weeks for me).

^what he said. I was number 12 on the list and I ordered within 24 hours of receiving my code. I still have yet to hear anything from anyone on shipping or receiving.

Just as a reference for those waiting, I missed the GB and ordered directly from Gobi 3 weeks back. They told me wait time was still up to 16 weeks.

The past 2 days where pretty nice and would of been a great time to install the gobi rack. Now it's back to the RAIN !
