GOBI Roof Rack *Group Buy* Winter 2016

I'm going to go with the fixed bars specifically because I don't think there's enough room between the removable bars and the mesh top to get my roof top box in. But what just came to mind is that if you're going with both removable bars, you can loosely secure the bike rack to the bars first, then mount the bars to the Gobi (assuming there's enough clearance from the bottom of the bike rack to the mesh). Sounds like a lot of work if I were to take them off and on on a regular basis.

Yeah, I thought about that too and may see if that works. I had an extra set of mighty mounts and was in a rush to get it on. My next step is to try and find some way to lock the removable cross bars because it sure doesn't take long to loosen the 4 nuts and pull everything off.

If anyone in SoCal, especially those ordering for a 3rd or 4th gen, is willing to part with their awning brackets for a stealth rack, please PM me. I just received my ARB 2000 awning, and based on the size of the bolts that came with it I think I'm going to want to throw in another bracket juuuust in case.
