GOBI Roof Rack *Group Buy* Winter 2016

On most all of the group buys that have closed I have noticed they remove the group buy price or sometimes don't post the price at all of the discount until you PM the OP. On a lot of them they tell buyers who have subscribed to not give out the codes or percentage of discount. I think your best option would be to PM the OP, but don't think they will give out the closed group buy prices...

How much does the group buy cost for package 1? I just wanted to know for future purchases.

I called Gobi today and they said the first batch is scheduled to go out on March 6th. I am #7 and the lady I talked to said I should be in on that batch.

I wasn't part of the group-buy, however, now I understand the delay. I purchased a Stealth for the TRD Pro I have coming in a few weeks and I am still waiting. I ordered it on a cyber-Monday (after Thanksgiving) deal through Trail Duty and was told it would ship Feb. 8th. I have not received any notification and now I don't expect to see it for a while. It appears that the Gobi folks may be a bit overwhelmed with orders.

Jeep guy at work just got his gobi installed and I drool a bit every time I walk by. It's going to be a tough ass wait for me sitting at the end of the list, sure hope I have this by my OBX trip on Memorial Day

The Xterra guys are getting their racks now, I took delivery of mine last week. Looking good for you guys, we were just ahead of you.

The wait is difficult, but it would seem you will get something, eventually.

The general experience of the Xterra guys has been Trail Duty is more responsive to questions than GOBI. However at this point you might as well just settle in and leave them be. I never got any info out of GOBI, they always gave me a pat "we will call you back" and never did.

I've noticed they are not great about telling you WHEN it ships. I found out several days after it had supposedly went out on the truck. Trail Duty sent an email out with the date and a note to expect to hear something from the shipper.

It comes truck freight, which they don't spell out well when you order. If you live somewhere you can't get an 18 wheeler, you'll need to make arrangements to pick it up with the freight company and/or truck driver. In my case we made arrangements for the driver to call me when he got close and I ran out with my trailer to meet him in a nearby town.

But if it helps you guys waiting, see the pic below, yes, GOBI does send you a box eventually...

Just got off the phone with Gobi and confirmed my shipment will be Monday 3/6. Im #46 on the list. Hope this helps

not to be negative ned, but from everything I've read on other threads this doesn't mean much. I wouldn't get excited until you receive shipping info with a tracking number. some threads said it was another 3-4 weeks after the "ship date" before they received it.
I hope you got accurate info, I am in the 30s and will get local install. If yours is shipping March 6th I can get mine installed next week some time.

I just called and talked directly to them. she said the group buy (she wasn't specific with how many) for us is going to start packing and preparing for shipping march 6.

Yes, I called and talked to the lady and gave my confirmation number. She quoted my shipment for 3/6 and takes about a week for freight shipment. I'll provide status update when monday rolls around.
