For those of you that have received your racks, is Gobi including a piece of clear 3M type film to use in the front where the wind fairing goes? I want to confirm if I need to purchase some or not...

Gobi did my install, but they did apply the 3M tape under the fairing, which was unexpectedly awesome because I meant to deal with it beforehand and didn't get a chance. I do recommend getting some for the hatch though. The bottom step is very close to the hatch and there's no way to use it without doing a number on the paint. I cut a piece to put behind that first step. The second step could use some protection too but it's in an awkward spot. That one is much easier to go gentle on though.

I was expecting mine mid may based on the initial estimate. I am last on the list though and I see users not even halfway down just barely getting shipping notifications. it's going to be the end of the year before I get mine :Cry::Cry:

Hope this doesn't piss too many people off but this is meant as an FYI only. I am #167 (basically last on the list) and got my Gobi rack today. I ordered on 12/20 when I was confirmed on the list with trail duty. I only called once in March to wonder about the status of my order once. They have given me nothing but the best in regards to service. Product reflects their workmanship.

There have been many occasions where I could have used my long awaited Gobi rack but I'm not pissed.
I have called 5 times or so and was almost always successful on my calls and always received good service.
The initial expectation was set a bit high. There were a lot of participants and along with their regular orders, I am sure it got to be a bit much. I don't know how many of their associate are actually building the racks, but I am sure there aren't many.
Anyway, I'm glad orders are being fulfilled and racks are being installed.

I was told two weeks ago it was shipping that Friday or Monday. Never happened, now I finally hear back and Gobi tells me end of May which puts me out to about 20 weeks. :/

Supposedly mine was supposed to ship the first of the month. When asking around then they kept pushing it off a week and now they're saying another 3-4 weeks. If this helps anyone. The lady I spoke to said they are working on Dec 5-12th orders.

that could take another 2 weeks. I wish they would have called me 2 weeks before rack was done, not after.
btw don't trust apple maps to get you there, use google maps.

I'm not going to Jambo because it won't be here for it. Hell I can't even use my kitchen in my small apartment right now because that's the only place I could store my RTT when it showed up. I had scheduled all deliveries to come in right around their original ship date. Whataburger has loved me as of late.

Followed up yesterday to see if I would have it before my deployment. Got an email today saying possibly the 2nd week of May. Looks like it's going to be in the way in the garage for 7 months.

Mine finally arrived today. Not one call from the freight company. Alex from Gobi told me last week that it would be delivered by April 18 or 19. But I didn't really get my hopes up because I've heard those promises many times before. I go outside and was about to leave the house and I see a big truck pull up the street slowly and what do you know? It was my rack. Spent the day installing it and now I can leave for my vacation without having to stress about if my rack will ever get delivered.

I forgot to mention that I live in Canada so I had them ship it to my brother's house in Pennsylvania. Scheduled my vacation with my brothers for April 18 so the rack came right at the last minute. I'll post pics when I get back from vacation.

I am #17 on the list and ordered November 28. Good luck to the rest of you and all I can say is keep trying to contact them.
