Gobi Roof rack question

I'm looking at ordering a Gobi rack for a 2012 4runner SR5, but I'm also looking at upgrading to a 2017 TRD Off road (mostly cause I like the facelift). And if I buy a rack now, can I transfer it over later on?

I'm just wondering if the racks are the same? or did anything change dimensionally between the original 5th Gen and the facelift. I assume they are the same, but since Gobi has a "select year" on their order page something may have changed.

I did a search, but couldn't find anything. But I often fail at the internet.
