Gobi stealth 40 in. LED lite question?

Hello all.....I have a Gobi Stealth rack coming built for a 40 in. lite...(about 1 week out)....and I see that Black Oak has LED 40 in. lites on sale for 20% off this black Friday....so my question is.since I cant get any response from Gobi.....do I need to purchase a single row thin lite OR can I buy the double row LED spot/flood combo lite that I want??...I cant tell by the pics on here whether the lite mounts inside the bars...or in front.....please advise...thanks Kevin

You can mount one or the other. The bar itself is mounted in front on the rise bar. IMHO the dual row fits the rack better as far as looks are concerned .

Gobi owner and went with Black Oak LED (40" dual stacked curved) in the front w/ (2) single row 6" in the back as I didn't want the wind drag nor them sticking up too much. For the back lights I did floods as they are for camping and the front I did a combo light. Plenty bright. I used the Gobi front light bar brackets and tossed the Black Oak ones that came with the light. The brackets mount onto the spots up front that are already predrilled/slotted right under the top bar. You will need to remove the windscreen again while doing all of this as the bolts go in the same location. The light bar drops into the Gobi light bar bracket slots and if you're crazy like me you'll get the Black Oak kit security kit that are circular nuts to make it harder for someone to take the light bar.

If you have the center post on the rack, the light bar will sit in front of it. It sticks a little forward of the windshield (like the bil on a visor). If you ordered it without the center post, the light will line up more with the edge of the fairing. I'm running an OPT7 bar that is flood/distance combo and have no clearance issues. I have the center post.

[email protected] ordered my rack to fit a 40 in. Lite bar.......so I assume that it won't have a center post!

Either double row or single row should be fine. I wanted my light bar to be a little bit more subtle so I opted for single row. There is almost no wind noise and the light is extremely bright.

I believe I also ordered for the "light bar" and so it came without the center post. Best of luck on your upcoming mods!
