Just looking for some advice from those who have already been down this road. Any issues with the rack (seals) or the 40" LED light in a typical high pressure car wash? I am wondering if I should avoid this due to the seals on the LED light. I just don't want to introduce water to the light or rack seals if it will eventually seep in. I am in the Midwest and I run my truck through the car wash weekly in the winter due to the salt. It would suck to not have this advantage. :redbrick:

beware this is a BAJARACK not a gobi, but just be aware.
The local carwash here offers a hand-wash for about $15 more than a regular wash. When I had MY FJ, the times I had them wash it, that's what I did - I had Hellas on my roof rack and I was concerned that I was tall enough to get damaged by the car wash equipment.

Fortunately, I used the same car wash for my FJ, but it only had a rack and not a light. It's the type of car wash that does not have the spinning rack/light eater wheel......it just has those hanging straps that move back and forth as you drive through them. This definitely has me thinking though because if they get caught, I would imagine something similar could occur.

Thanks, I will check on the only touchless that I recall in the area. I seem to remember though that they have brushes or something like that, but still call it touchless. LOL Go figure!

So I'm at my local car wash now and they say they can stop the top rollers from dropping down on my truck when I get my rack. Might be an option?
That would be great, but unfortunately mine does not have rollers. So, that brings into question......finding one that does and asking them if they can suspend that feature for me.
The car wash that I use has this wall of fabric that hangs down in strips and it just passes over your car as it move left to right. This may not even be an issue really, but if one of those strips were to get caught, I doubt they have a brake-away feature. I will have to investigate. Thanks for the tip!
