Gobi Stealth - where to order from?

Called Gobi to order their stealth rack, but it's a 12-16 week lead time. I understand this is somewhat normal, but I wonder if I should try ordering it from someone else. Does anyone stock these things?

If I do order from someone else, who should I look at? Looks like Trail Duty may include some extra accessory(ies) for free, but not sure what the experience is working with these guys.

Dunno of anyone who stocks these, never heard of it hence the 3-4 month wait for all. I think TrailDuty is the go-to retailer outside of Gobi direct...got mine from TrailDuty.

I think all Trail Duty includes free is the ladder and free shipping, which is exactly the same as ordering it from Gobi.

I'm also pretty sure that Trail Duty has a similar lead time ordering through them, but I'm not sure. I ordered through Gobi a month ago and am waiting patiently.

[edit] Never mind, I see now they're doing a free accessory and free struts for the rear hatch. I'd jump on that sale. Also they quote 8-12 weeks instead of the 12-16 that Gobi quotes. I don't know if that's accurate, but if it is I'll kick myself for not waiting until this sale and ordering through them. Could've gotten it at the same time as I will now with 2 free accessories.

Can't you cancel? They shouldn't bill you until they actually build and ship it.

Does anybody have a top view of what the stealth looks like on a 5th gen? Looking at how much mesh flooring these have vs others...

Ordered through TD on 06/29/17 and was quoted "Your order will ship direct from Gobi and will be with you in approximately 6-8 weeks, although some orders may take up to 12 weeks as each rack is custom made to your requirements."
Also, the "price goes up on the 1st of next month" is bogus, they keep changing it to the next month once the 1st hits.

You can cancel. Gobi charges at time of shipment. TD will charge at time of shipment, or if you ask they can charge at time of order. I charged at order time.

It's always a waiting game on Gobi racks unless you purchase second hand. Waiting is a part of it just suck it up and wait like everyone else. :lol:

ill try and snap one its raining here today on east coast. The mesh runs almost from rear of vehicle up to beginning edge of where sunroof ends. I have a sunroof on mine so its not full length :tinfoil3: hope that perspective helps....

They charge at time of shipment, but state all orders are final. My order was standard, so they may let me cancel, but I'm not sure it's worth the hassle and the potential of jumping to the back of the queue again lol.
