Just bought a 96 runner auto with 156k. I plan on a 10K mile trip in a bit to Alaska...what do you all recommend I do to/bring for my runner? I do have the records that the timing belt was done ay 98k....my BIGGEST worry is the water pump....it was NOT done and I have no idea how long they last....Thanks in advance...Garth

You will love the trip! I drove it a couple of years ago in my 03 4runner. Just make sure all your maintenance is up to date. Drive the speed limit and enjoy the view. Pack your own food and buy gas when you get down to 1/4 of a tank. Watch out for wild life! Critters of all sizes are all over the roads through Canada and Alaska. Do NOT drive at night. Stop before the sun goes down or you will be sleeping on the side of the road. Again...make sure your runner is in good shape and you should not have any problems.\
