Gone bad; Rotors or pads?

This issue started about year ago and its annoying more than anything. When I slow down in traffic which usualy light breaking I get this jerking, like brakes grab and release and grab again real subdued but there. None of that under heavy braking or high speed braking just with easy stop-at-the-lite application. What gives? Glazed pads, warped rotors, bad ABS sensor or transmission issues? Its 04 SE 4WD V6.

Does the pedal pulse? If not many have replaced the rear rotors and the problem has been alleviated.

Mine does it too - doesnt bother me enough to do anything about it. FWIW 60k on rear pads and rotors (original) and 22k on front pads and rotors.

No pedal pulsing just uneven stoping. When weather permits I'll take out pads but at only 41,000 miles I guess those should be fine.

sounds like mine too...Mine were fine-brand new Toyota parts- until I towed a 5000+ lb ski boat...Now I have "pad deposits" that are uneven. I didn't learn about break in periods and pad deposits on the rotors until after it happened, but you can search and you'll see that there's a good chance that's what you have as well. Any chance you towed a heavy load or were extra hard on the brakes recently? That usually leaves uneven pad material on the rotors causing certian spots to be stickier that others leaving a "pulsing" feeling. Hope that helps. If that is what you have, you can have the rotors turned, or change out pads/rotors for higher temp rating.
