Good all around tire recommendation...

I am trying to find the best all around tire with good tread life for my Moms 2000 4Runner. Surpisingly she has gotten 45,000 miles out of her stock Dunlop Grandtrek TG35 tires but is gonna need new ones soon. No off-roading all street driving and driving in snow in the winter. ...thanks

After you do all the research, you're most likely going to end up choosing between these two, and both will probably serve her well. I chose Revos and they are amazing in the rain. But others who have the Michelins are equally impressed.

Do some research on Tirerack to see the experiences of owners.
 
Thanks guys...I Know the Revos are great because they are what I have...I just wanted to see what other choices there were for that calibur tire...I will most likely decide between those two and go with the Revo because I think it is cheaper
 
In my opinion, there is no other tire that is better than on-raod comfort along with sportiness (braking, turning, etc). Go with the Revos.
 
I am new but have been lurking for quite a while. I just put some Nitto Terra Grapplers 265-70-17s on our SE. I have had or driven in vehicles equipped with BFGs, Michelin Cross Terrains, Dunlop Rovers, etc. The Nittos were $109 installed from Discount Tires. They have the little yellow dot to align the valve stem, with Yoyohamas, this dot is for balancing the closer the dot to your valve stem, the let weight the tire will need for balancing. I LOVE THE NITTOs, they look great, are very quiet, slightly louded than the OE Bridgestone's. They provide a smoother ride, and based on everything I have read, they should not hydroplane. I do not think you can beat these tires for the money. They are a passenger tire, so you might pay attention to how much weight you might be towing. They also have a treadwear rating of 500, which should yield pretty good mileage. Just my .02. I will try and get a pic to post, otherwise check out their website.

Are they Nitto Terra Grapplers AT? I see Nitto Terra Grapplers and Nitto Terra Grapplers AT...just wasnt sure which one you got
 
I was lucky and the Michelin Cross Terrains came stock on my new 4runner, and I have to say they are great tires. I am about to change to the Revos, but because I want a more aggressive tire. The Michelins will last longer than the Revos from what I've read. Mine have lasted 55k miles and still have another 5-10k in them. They are also great in all weather conditions. Also they will be quieter than the revos, becase they are less aggressive. Either tire will be great, but I would say the Michelins might be a better decision for her other. Yes they cost a bit more, but they last a little longer, and you pay more for michelins in general.
 
They are Nitto Terra Grapplers AT, I guess. They were the only Passenger spec tire that the terra grapplers came in. They are not "LT" 265-70-17 they are P "etc". That would be the only possible reason that they might not be considered an LT. Based on the appearance there is no difference. I do not think this helped much, its all I know.

Nitto calls the tire the Terra Grappler. They say that the tire is an all terrain tire. All terra grapplers, terra grappler ats are the same thing. Except P sized or LT sized and maybe the number of belts.
