Actually looks to be a decent deal. Likely minimal rust due to location and based upon what I've been seeing; an ok price. (I'm looking for a 2000 as we speak)

Average clean retail per NADA is ~ 8200.00 with trade in value ~ 5000.00

Why would he cite the book value, and be so far below it? Something's off... Make sure the VIN tags are all in place, do a thorough mechanical inspection, etc. etc. If it appears too good to be true it probably is.
