I came across a '99 4Runner Limited 4x4 yesterday, with 105,000 miles on it. Black two tone paint with tan leather interior and to my amazement ... a TRD SuperCharger with boost gauge and guage pod on the pillar. Is this a good buy at $15,200 or should i keep looking. I found out the history of how the charger was put on and have the paperwork showing that it was installed at Toyota.

With the supercharger it is a pretty good deal. If it is in good condition. It is a plus that toyota put the supercharger in.

Does it have a trailer hitch on it that looks used or was the supercharger on there for street performance.

I went to Kelly blue book and did a general search on the limited info you gave me and came up with $15,305 thats without the supercharger and what ever else might be on the truck that you did not list.

Hope this helps.:D

another thing to check out is how many miles on the super charger itself? i think the nose drives go out around 90k. could be wrong tho.
it does sound like a pretty good deal....any prior service history available to check out? if it was well cared for, still got lots of miles left to go at only 105k :)

I wouldn't touch it myself. Do you think someone went to all the trouble and expense to have installed a "TRD SuperCharger with boost gauge and gauge pod on the pillar" just to cruise down the highway or tool around town sensibly? I would bet it’s had the sh>t beat out of it. Toyota or not, having a blower on it has to take it's toll on the engine, tranny, clutch(?) etc....n'est-ce pas? Purchasing this truck without knowing its history intimately (how it was driven and maintained) is a gamble, where the odds are not in your favor. If you're still interested, at the very least, have a good shop thoroughly inspect it, including a "leak-down" test.
My 2cents plain!
