Good deal?

I bought a 1999 4runner SR5 from CarMax about a month ago. The truck is in MINT condition, it even smelled new. I assumed by the programmed stations it was an older lady or long time college student.

I bought it with 73K miles, 3.4 v6.. I paid 9500.00, what do you guys think? I climbed all under the car no wear and tear that would show that it's been rolled back. One small hole in the driver carpet - maybe a heel?

I want to get some tints. The speakers are nice, I assume after market..the head unit is garbage skips every bump and doesn't read CDr's..

Is the suspension supposed to feel to rigid?

I'm a bit of research junkie and a DIY for the most part kind of dude.. Glad I found this place!

hey GG, welcome to the fourm looks like u made a pretty good find.

about the suspention, kinda.... and kinda not.... its hard to tell but with only 70K miles i bet its fine, or go try and test drive some from a dealer.... well i had 200,000miles on my shock, and was shocked at how much better it was but with such low miles, i bet your fine....


um.... i would like to see some pictures, and just wait till u start modding it, you will never stop!

For that mileage I would have dropped the same amount. Interior wear can be a great indicator of mileage too. Things like wear on pedals, seats, steering wheels, and like you mentioned, carpet. It wouldn't be unusual for the shocks to need replacing at that mileage. A lot of people upgrade the suspension here so you may want to search that out. Congrats on your new ride!

Sounds like you got yourself i nice car for a nice price...4Runners are the way to go...especially 3rd generations!
