Good Hunting season for fun!

So far it has been mostly driving into the mountains and taking the rifle and Dog for a walk, so sometimes we just go for grouse. The old '85 4runner has developed a serious rumble though and I fear it may be the tranny.
Thankfully I have the '86 Toyo pick-up to get me through, but Golly-Gee, I sure love the old 4runner! So does my dog, Kitty, I removed the rear seat so she gets a lot of space.
Around 300,000 miles on the rig, U joints seem solid and I replaced the transfer case this summer. Little bit low on power. Looks like making bumpers and external cage is coming AFTER the mystery rumble gets figured out.

Nice. That rig reminds me of my 1st gen.

That roar could be the the rear wheel bearings. I've had to change out one or two myself. Just jack the rear up and pick up on the wheel. If it Feels loose. Bingo.

Hey, thanks, I will lift it up this weekend and check. I looked at the driveline and front end. Can't imagine why I did not inspect the rear end??
