I've never heard any complaints about OME lifts and they will give you about 3 inches. They aren't cheap but I put their full suspension kit on my 85 and the ride is fantastic. You can search under my name for pics but, of course, mine is a first gen and a solid front axle so it might not be that helpful.
I really think that with brakes, suspension, and drivetrains, it doesn't pay to go cheap....save cheap for the foglights.

This is 4 inches, 2 in the body and two in the suspension.
If you go offroad don't wind you torsion bars up over 2". You will lose down travel and wear/break the CVs fast when in 4WD.
Alternatively you can fit ball joint spacers and a diff drop up front.
This will give you better downtravel and CV angles out of a 2 inch front lift.
