Good mechanics around Santa Clara, CA?

Does anyone have any good mechanics they trust and recommend in Santa Clara, or Mountain View CA?

I havent been to one in a while, and don't really know of any personally.

what kinda work do you need done? Sounds like you dont konw much about cars. If thats the case, shady shops can smell you a mile away.

The best mechanic is yourself. Grab yourself some tools and let other people be your guide. This place is a good start, like many other sites that have plenty of knowledgeable members who would gladly help, if asked.

As far as shops, I stopped taking my cars to repair shops 10 years ago.

i dont know much about cars no, but am definetely trying to learn.

my 4runner is actually in good condition, but we have a 95 tercel at home - lots of squeaking from the front right tire assembly..sounds like bad springs or suspension..possibly CV Joint?
