I'm new here....

Just bought a 1996 4R. SR5 4WD. Ended up getting it with 134K miles on it. Looking forward to rejoining the Toyota club after selling my old Tacoma a couple years ago.

I think you're right. I've been looking for a project after selling the motorcycle last fall. I'm looking forward to turning this into a great winter 4 wheeler.

Pic of the 4runner

It's in pretty good shape for the year. When I bought it I had to fix numerous electrical problems. The radio, door locks, map lights, dome lights, and AC didn't work. I also had to get the door apart and re attach the outside handle to the lock. As of this morning....everything works. I need a new rear bumper and hitch needs replaced as well. For 2800 bucks...I'm not complaining!

I picked them up yesterday. I'm figuring it might need some new brakes. Cross your fingers!

In the Woods - couple of pics.

I went up to my home town to help my parents move into their new place this weekend. After....we cooked meat on the fire and enjoyed some quality time in the country. Northwestern PA is nice this time of year!

I wanted to take some time to see how it would hold up since I picked her up about 2 weeks ago. 600 miles later all she needs is the rotors turned and a new hitch. It did very well on the trails near my home town. Unfortunately...it's been SO dry up here in PA that mud wasn't an issue!

Update on my 4R. Diffs and transfer case have been drained and filled with Mobil 1 synthetic. Coolant, brake pads, shoes, rotors replaced and brake lines have been flushed. It was shocking how dark brake fluid can get! She's looking better and better. We're taking a 200 mile trip to Morgantown, WV this weekend. Should be entertaining.
