Good News! Valor Tip & Racing Pedals Installed!

Don't know if you guys read my other post about the concern I had that the parts were different. Well, they turned out to be correct, just with updated part numbers, which I still don't understand. Regardless, I installed the tip and the pedals and they look great. I love the look of the OBX pedals. Thanks to everyone for the help...my first two mods complete! I'm getting the OEM all-weather mats on Monday. From there, I'll try to sink my teeth (and money) into some more serious mods, perhaps a navi unit. Still undecided there, as I want it to be able to do navi and sirius sat. radio, plus have an ipod hookup. Am I greedy?

Well to me....your very first mod was your selection of the best vehicle color on the lot. You will love the Galactic Grey Mica color on your vehicle.
Also, before you do anymore mods, you should consider doing a good wash, polish and wax job to your new truck. This will take you approx. 4-8 hours to complete but well worth the time and effort.

I would also suggest claying your paint after the wash and then washing it again. Using a clay bar is worth the time. Your paint will feel like polished glass - literally. Do this before applying any polish or wax. You need only do it about once a year.

You never know how long your truck has been sitting out on the dealer's lot collecting contaminants onto the paint. After claying, polish and wax go on much easier and faster. Clay your paint. It's worth it.

Now that you have the Valor tip installed, isn't it hard to picture your Runner without it? Sure it's not functional, but damn doesn't it look good? It makes looking at the rear of your truck that much nicer.

Roger that. I just recently waxed my leftover 2005 model that had been on the dealer lot for 4 months. The paint was like sandpaper.

A few minutes with the clay bar, and ooohhh yeeaahh..... so smooth....
