Good Old Alabama

So me and the Fam took the 4runner down to Alabama For thanksgiving to visit my Aunt and Uncles. Anyway Its CRAZY how many 3rd gen 4runners i've seen down here.. Not 4th gen or 2nd or anything else all ive seen so far are the 3rd gen. Its nuts.


The 4runner did decent on gas on the way down it was about a 12 hour drive. We filled up 2 times and made it there with a quarter of a tank left so really it wasnt bad on gas. I've noticed we have a warped rotor and the brake pads are going bad so im prob gonna buy a whole new set up for the spring time.


I just cant decide what to get?

I want brake pads that last long dont create alot of dust and work well in all conditions. Also the same with new Rotors.


Any Help?

Spend a little extra on pads and go with ceramics since the reduction in brake dust alone is worth it.

yep, there is alot of 3rd gens around here. what part did you visit?

and a set of warped rotors run you about 200 at the dealership.

yea i know where that is, i have to drive thru there all the time on the way to Birmingham. Its a nice place.

Kewl. Chelsea's a nice area. I have some inlaws that live in that area.

I myself live in Trussville and work on Hwy 280 (which I'm at right now). If you know where the former HealthSouth digital hospital is (recently purchased by Trinity), my office building is right next to it (smaller brown building).

And yes, it's 3rd gen galore down here

My Aunt whose house im staying at used to work at the old Health South building we drove by it to get here. And Yes this Area is very nice, Coming from Pittsburgh PA to here its soooo different. The weather is Amazing down here. My Uncle has a toyota tundra and he painted his brake calipers red and today we are gonna paint our 4Runner's. So im pretty stocked to see what its going to look like.

And Also im thinkin about getting the ceramic pads to change out for my old ones. I looked up some brands last night and they are convincing.
