Good suspension install shop in/near NYC / Brooklyn / Queens ?

I would also be very interested in finding a good shop anywhere on LI. I'm sure I could get the stealership to do a basic lift for me but I really dont want to sell my good kidney to pay for it. :laugh: The only place I even know of out here is RMS Off Road in Bohemia, but I have no personal experience with them so I cant say if good or bad.

The only place I'd trust to do real offroad work on either my 4Runner or FZJ80 is TNT 4x4 in Ronkonkoma. This is a real offroad fabrication shop, not just a slap some ebay parts on your 4 door Wrangler like the other "offroad" shops in the area.

I had them rebuild the front axle in my 80 a few months ago, very fair prices.

Go to New Hope Auto, 925 61 Street in Brooklyn, NY and ask for Roger. He installed everything on my 4R... and I mean everyyyyttthhiiinnggg!!!

+1 for Roger. Havent actually brought mine there for work as I do everything myself but I've seen his work, etc...They def take care of your vehicle. Good guy.

I went to OK Auto, 4WD & Tire in Stewartsville, NJ. I drove out there from Manhattan, and personally prefer that drive to CT or LI (and I grew up on LI).

They did my 6112/5160 setup and I couldn’t be happier. Chose them because they had previous experience with 4Runner’s and also did lifts on KDSS equipped 4Runner’s in past.

I'll second OK4WD, it's a fantastic shop. I'm actually sitting in their customer lounge as I type this. They've done a ton of work on my truck including my lift and snorkel install.

Guys, just got my truck back from Chris at Prime Auto in LI. Give this guy a PM. Did an absolutely outstanding job. Installed my new shocks/coils for the lift, also did some body work, put on a bulbar and did a full timing belt service. Top notch and also fixed up a few minor details which were annoying me - he pays a lot of attention to detail. Will be taking my truck to him in future!

I wanted to bring this thread back from the dead. Moving to NYC and want to find a good place that I can trust. Any updates? OK Auto in Stewartsville, NJ, TNT 4x4 in Ronkonkoma, and New Hope Auto in Crooklyn is what I have so far. Anyone else want to nominate a spot? Many thanks in advance.
