Goodbye F250 SD, hello 4Runner

Cut the deal this weekend to trade in my 04 F250 SD diesel for a 07 4Runner Sport 4WD V8. It is supposed to be on the ground on Wednesday and I hope to pick it up sometime this weekend. The port had better be quick with that rear spoiler and 2-3 other small items I ordered.

I'm going to miss the raw power of that diesel, all that room (crew cab), and that "purr" on the road. I'm not going to extra expenses (higher diesel prices, $100+ oil changes - I run synthetic, etc), and the much lower reliability (even though I've had 47,000 trouble free miles).

That said, I am very much looking forward to my 2nd Toyota (had a '90 4x4 truck for 8+ years). Just hoping I can get used to not having a truck for the first time in 20 years.

Guess I'll be looking to the members here to answer a few questions along the way.

Well, my daughter begged me to get the titanium, but I opted for the white. Don't really know why since I like both. I guess the white attracted me a little more since the only white vehicles I've ever seen that I did like were the 4Runners, plus, in my wife opinion, the white looked better with interior.

Oh well, I compromised with my daugher and got the first aid kit - she thought that was a cool "option".

Hopefully I'll pick it up either Friday or Saturday. Like I said in my earlier note, I had a Toyota 4x4 truck from 90-98 and I loved it. Excited about getting back in a Toyota again.
