good luck with the german car, don't listen to the haters. the drivetrain is rock solid in the e90.
Expensive? how about the sunroof cable in my friends 03 runner being $1000, for just the part? don't even talk about the xreas. my point is, all cars, that arent econoboxes, are expensive these days. Plus, he'll get twice the mpg as the runner did, so it will pay for repairs albeit partially....
Shame you sold your Runner, but I hope you enjoy your new vehicle! Watch out for electrical gremlins that lock you in the car and makes sure you get an extended warranty if you can, especially if that's a GDI engine. Other than that, should be a fun car to play with on curvy roads!
I have both a 325 and 4runner at the moment...Make sure you keep up on the maint. on the BMW. At that mileage is when a lot of the problems start to come up. Good luck!
Funny, I just turned in a 06 325i for my 07 4th Gen. I must give the folks at BMW some credit, those cars are seriously fun to drive (in anything but snow/ice). Enjoy!
Cool...post up some pics when you get your lift kit and big tire installed....also make sure to get the blacked out step bumpers and skid plate...oh wait it's a BMW (Big Money Waster) :repuke: don't forget to stop at the Ralph Lauren Boutique.
bmw is a driver's car....at least the car doesn't drive itself like recent yotas!
luxury cars are all more expensive to maintain than econobox makes like corollas and civics...if you think otherwise, you are dreaming.
p.s. i recently drove an is350 and it was the biggest farse in terms of competition to bmw...not even close. handled like ****, brakes cant compare and floaty as hell not to mention cheap looking inside.
don't compare a runner to a bimmer...apples and oranges. i like my runner and bimmer just the same, no need to hate on them.
I have 2006 BMW 325i for wife's baby carrier and just got out of warranty. O' Man, it is expensive to repair and electrical 'gadgets' keep getting zonked on her. It is fun to drive though! Gotta have the extended warranty.
I'll be selling my v8 soon, love my 4runner but the mileage is a kick in the balls. I might get a v6 4runner though, an extra 3-4 mpg would sit alot better with me. Though i'll probably get an audi a4, i miss a stick shift.
you would sell and try and find another one to save a few mpg? i would think the hassle of finding a car you know everything about and trust for that would make it not worth it
