Goodyear DuraTrac Discontinued?

I called up Tire Rack today to order some DuraTracs and was told that they have been discontinued and that they only have one in stock. Luckily the local Discount Tire still had some, so I ended up getting them from there.

Has anyone else heard this?

I was told this also today that they were being discontinued. I just called another shop and they have them.

I don't see why GY would discontinue them. I see more duratracs than bfg these days. I'll definitely ask about at SEMA. I'll report back what I hear.

Perhaps there was some misinformation and what they really meant was a particular sized Duratrac is being discontinued? I've seen manufacturers drop the less popular tire sizes from a particular tire model, and Tirerack selling them at a closeout price. This is how I got my last set of snow tires on the cheap for my car, lol.

Not sure I'm gonna get to ask at SEMA. I Haven't seen Goodyear tire anywhere. Haven't seen BFG either.

I just ordered 4 duratracs from the tirerack (285's for my 5th gen) and there was no mention of a back order or them being discontinued

The silent armors were discontinued and I think the adventure is supposed to be the replacement-ish for them. Tire store told me they wore too well for goodyear.(assume that was sarcasm) but dunno...

Kanati just announced these at SEMA, every size will have a 3ply sidewall unlike the Duratrac. Knockoffs but their Mud Hogs have been getting great reviews.
