Alright guys, I just got these bad boys put on my truck yesterday, I got them for $208/tire; mounted and balanced.
Day One:
My first impression: this is an A/T??? Wow, these things are aggressive. Gnarly sidewall, big chunky lugs and a rim edge guard? Not your average A/T.
These tirese have a really stiff sidewall. After my lift I really appreciate this though, it definately makes the truck feel "planted". It's not enough to jar you over bumps, but they aren't "washy" feeling either.
They are also much heavier than the Michelins I had on my truck before. I have noticed that on long hills and quick starts my truck has a little tougher time keeping up. I expected this, so no worries there!
They also have a bit of a "whine" to them. Not a Super Swamper howl, but they aren't Potenza quiet either. I also expected this, so it's cool!
I chose this tire because I wanted something aggressive. They were cheaper than any of the M/T's I liked and better looking than the A/T's. I knew that they would ride stiffer and be louder than my old tires. I also knew that I'd lose a little power going up a size.
My $.02-- If you want a smooth quiet tire, don't buy these. If you want a tough truck tire, go for it! Cant beat the look!
