most people that have tried the Fortera line have gone with the silent armor ones as they are a little more "beefy" than the triple treads.

I considered those, but can't find any in 265/65-17...

I don't have 'direct' experience with Goodyear Fortera TripleTred but installed Goodyear TripleTred for my ES300 last year. I am very happy with it. Good traction on wet or dry and very quite compare to OEM michelin MX4 tires. Also this one comes with 80K thread life time.

I will definitely consider Goodyear Fortera TripleTred when time to change tires on my 4Runner.
