Goodyear Fortera Tripletred's???

Looking into new tires for 05 Sport...really like the Goodyear Fortera tripletred's.

My Runner is mostly a hockey-hauler, although we do venture home a couple of times a winter...and home is Northern Ontario, so snow storms and bad road conditions are the norm.

So, any thoughts on the Tripletred's??

I don't have the tripletreads, but I do have the Fortera Silentarmor in 275/60R17. The look the same from the sidewall but do have a substantially different tread. For what its worth, they are a decent tire. On road performance is fantastic, even in inclement weather. We had a few weeks of heavy snow that kept the plows on 12 hour rotations and they still could not keep the roads clear, and these tires truly blew me away. They do great in the snow.

My only con so far has been the size (previous owner put them on) because they are only 29.9 inches tall, and the real "off" offroad performance.

Although they are a different tread, they seem to have a lot in common with the ones you're looking at, and I think they are good!

The TripleTred rates quite well but it's still an all season highway tire.

Here's some ratings on On/Off Road All Terain tires. Quite a few of these are decent on the highway with little sacrifice. I just sold my 3rd gen with the Firestone Destination AT's and they were excellent in snow. The only drawback was that I lost about 2 MPG highway (as compared to The Destination LT's and Michelin LTX) due to the more aggresive tread.
