Goodyear Trailrunner AT

I recently made the decision to purchase and instate the Goodyear Trailrunner AT 265/70 r16 tire on my 97 4Runner SR5. I would say my driving is 80% highway and 20% off-road(Nothing crazy).

Why I chose tire?
My options were Goodyear Trailrunner AT, Falken ATW3 and Kumho Road Venture At51. I went the the Goodyear mainly because of the price. Coming in at $124 per tire (265/70 r16). Also because the tread was aggressive enough for what I’m going to use it for.

Initial impression
They don’t look too aggressive or eye catching but they look like all terrain Tires feel a little soft but good. Plenty of road grip. I used to have the Toyo open country at3 in an LT size so you can notice the difference in stiffness.

If anyone has these tires, please let us know any more information. I want to continue to update this thread the more experience I have with this tires.

i also have the trailrunner AT on my 4th gen 4runner. excellent tire for street use & light duty off roading. if you check tire rack or any other place they get very good consumer reviews, top 5 at tire rack & many categories they are better than the more expensive tires. i got my 265/70/17 from goodyear.com for about $120ea & that comes with mount & balance & lifetime rotation at an authorized goodyear dealer or other approved local shops. ive got 5000+ miles on mine & they are very quiet on the highway, do great in snow & rain & i didnt lose any MPG since they are not the heavier E load, & i do some light duty towing.

cant beat the performance to price of the trailrunner AT & unless you do heavy off roading or care about overly aggressive looks, they are the best deal out there IMO.
