hey all i am starting to do somethings to my 4runner and i had a few questions that ive searched for answer but i want to know your opinions too.

-so, i just ordered a 3" OME lift kit and im now looking for some wheels and tires. the wheels i want are the procomp 8069 alloys 16x8 and 4" of backspacing(wheelers offroad). i want to run 305/70 MT baja MTZ's and i was just curious if the backspacing on the wheels is enough so the tires wont rub.
-also, i plan on doing a 2" body lift, is 4crawler the best place to get this from?
-and is burtman industries the only place i can get a billet grille from? ive searched and cant find anywhere else.

i think thats all i have for now, im getting a magnaflow exhaust this weekend i cant wait. ill post some pics when i start getting everything installed. thanks for your comments

What kind of lift kit from OME? Coils and shocks? That plus a 2" body lift should accommodate the 305 tires with the back spacing. 4crawler has a very good link on the body lifts for 4runners - tells you what all you would need, what to be aware of, etc...., and breaks down the parts into kits or separate if needed. The prices seem to be comparable to others that I have checked (I am thinking about a 1"). Can't help you on the billet grille.

I've seen billet grills on Ebay.

If you go with a 2" BL I think your going to have to extend lines and that kind of stuff.

That is correct, on the 2-3" body lift, you will have to extend the steering linkage, adjust the radiator, possibly the gear shifters, and adjust the transmission linkage.

lift

as far as the lift goes anything over 1 inch you will have to start adjusting everything gas lines bumper steering pand hard bar etc lots extra work. also if you want to pt headers on it later down the road you wont be able to.I know there are more things that i am leaving out dont want to discourage you but you should be awhere of what your getting into pro and cons. as far as rim size 15 16 17 as long as its no more than 8 inches wide. you want 4.5 inch back spacing if possible or 4 inch back spaceing with 11-12 mm offset. hope this helps some. nice mods so far.

as far as the coils i got OME 883's for the front and 891's for the rear. i havent fully decided on a body lift but i want to do it just so it will sit a bit higher, but well see how it looks after the suspension lift goes on, who knows i might just want a 1"
