Got a little stuck today

Apparently pulling 1500+ lbs. through 12" of snow and ice wasn't happening. Not today. Not with these tires. Oh well, new tires will be here in about 3 weeks.

Nope lol. 40 psi in the runner's tires and god knows what in the trailer tires. Didn't event think about it to be honest but we got it out. Had to unhook from the trailer and then the 4Runner drove right out. 20 minutes worth of digging later we were able to reconnect to the trailer and pull it out too.

well gald ya got it out,,, yea, if your gonna drive in any snow, it helps to let some of the pressure out of the tires, maybe go down to 25-30PSI depending on how deep the snow...

People treat snow like mud sometimes. Snow is SO much more vicious when it comes to navigating thru it. A cheap set of chains would have been perfect and would have probably gotten you where you needed to go.

No worries bro, it was my grandparents field. I knew that I was going to be fine even if I got it stuck. I had anything I needed at my disposal in the barn that was 30 yards away.

i dont know,, ive been wheeling in Colorado every weekend, for about 5 years now, in 2" of snow, up to about 2 feet, Ive never used chains, ever, and will go as far, or farther, than the few that use chains, I think its all about airing down, some good tires, and picking a good line
But from what I hear, chains do help, I just havent seen it yet, lol

Are those tracker 2s? I have Tracker 2s and run them at about 35 PSI, have you been getting good tread wear at 40? Great looking t4r btw! :

Really can't tell ya either way. I've only been running 40 psi for about 1 month now. The tires were on the truck when I purchased it almost 2 years ago and I'll be replacing them in a couple of weeks. They have been ok so far but I'm going up in size and these are nearing the end of their life anyways. They measure at 6/32nds and one of them has a plug in it.
