Got a new hood

Not really a new hood, but a new paint scheme on the original. Nothing too spectacular, just used plasti-dip...first time using it, I like it. Haven't seen too many people do this, and its a little something different until I get a sport hood. I taped everything up and used an entire can in about 3 minutes, then ripped off the tape. It only caught a couple little places. It's a good 3 ft paint job. Now that I've done it, and like it, I may actually paint the hood for a permanent job.

Thanks. I was kind of skeptical myself of how it would look, that's mainly why I used plasti-dip...easily taken off. I'll see how I feel about it in a few weeks and decid en permanent paint then.

Very interesting! I never would've thought a 4runner would look good with a racing stripe.

I like it, and love that you can just peel it off if you decide you don't, or grow tired of it down the road. Very cool!

My first car was a Chevy Chevette. I got bored and painted some nice racing stripes on it. Tape, rattle can, and pin stripes and it came out pretty good.

(WOW!! Can't believe I used "good" and "nice" in the same thread as Chevette, racing stripes, and rattle can!) I wont mention it was in the late '80s and I had a mullet!
