I had a detailer wreck my 4runner hood with a rotary buffer a few years back and the clear and paint has fully failed and needs repainted. I can handle the prep but I'm unclear on what products I need to paint the hood.
What I have already:
- Large shop compressor
- Water separator
- Pressure regulator
- HVLP sprayer
What I need to know:
- What paint products do I need to buy
- How do I combine them
- What primer do I need to use
Can someone give me the 30,000 ft view on how to go about this? I'm reasonably confident on the spraying, wetsanding etc, just not sure what actual paint products I need to purchase. Like I know there is generally a 2-part system but that's all I know.
