Got a Rocktek Bumper for Both T4Rs now

I just got my truck finished, now I have a Rocktek Bumper on Both of my trucks. I will be adding lights in the next two weeks.

Rocktek has finished moving and is building bumpers again (i have been holding my breath) out of Saginaw TX. I love this thing, it is strong, clean and a fair price. I have his stuff on my silver limited, Bumpers and sliders. I am bigging him to make a second rear bumper for me, so far no luck.

Side note.......Justin at Rocktek will be selling these bumpers with my brand winches and HID lights as an option. I will post pics when I get everything on the bumper.

The bumpers run 900 bucks with power steering cooler and hose relocation kit. everything is very heavy duty. This will make my 5th rocktek Front bumper and my 9th bumper all together.

I think he will do a group buy if there are half a dozen people interested. I have talked to him about it, and he is on the fence.

The bumpers look pretty cool, definitely different than the SW. It reminds me of the ones they put on the trucks that go on trips in the Arctic and over ice fields, etc. Pretty neat to me.

You dont see much use for a real stinger style bumper on vehicles like ours. Rock crawlers, yes becasue of tall rock ledges. It is mostly for design, however should i decide to climb a rock wall, it is fully functional.

I am sure they have a functional purpose, but personally I think tube bumpers look ugly. It exposes the ugly underpinnings and doesn't match the body lines well. There is a reason you cover that stuff up. Just my opinion anyway.

You are 100 percent correct, I live in texas now but I am from the west Coast so I like tube work. And to be honest, when we finish these trucks, all that body will not be there. I do like the fit and finish of a plate bumber on newer vehicles it just looks clean. But I have to support my bro at Rocktek also

Why not? More is always better! or at least more fun!

If you look at my Tacoma stinger he built for me you woul dpass out, lol... it is about 3 feet high...

As far as owning two of them, its a long story..... I sold my Sequoia a few months ago and had some extra cash, I ran into a friend at one of the Toyota club events and him and his wife were having a baby and needed to sell... I have allways had my wife and I driving the same truck so I thought why not... I bought the black truck and truth be told, I am trying to sell my BMW to get another 4th gen v6 2wd to drive back and forth to work.

One of these trucks will get a SAS very soon, I am thinking the black one.

BTW.. if one is good, two is more good, 3 is th emost goodness..lol

I have seen trucks with a hook in the stinger that they hang the hook from, or even the snatchblock.. I think it is mor storage than anything. Shannon Brookshire from TTORA had his tacoma that way. My tacoma had a large stinger also, way too tall for most trucks. (see Pic)

Me - I dig the stinger look but $900 is personaly too much for this slacker. Wonder if there is market to sell your stock bumber to offset the cost of new?
