mine came standard with my truck. i just asked that it not be installed as i wanted to have a go at it myself.

i don't think they have aftermarket crossbars available yet so the best thing to do is call up the dealership you're picking up the trail from and ask them to order it in for you. or better yet, tell them to throw it in for free cause you're buying from them

Also, I think yours are running boards, not rock rails. Rock rails are more solid and durable and drilled into the underbody frame.

That was all over chilliwack. I wandered around Jones Lake, Chilliwack Lake, Fraser and the Vedder Rivers. It was a great day just roaming the woods

Where did you guys get those Running Boards for your TEs? Or are those the infamous "only in Canada" Toyota OEM Running Boards?

On a similar note, has anyone seen any Westin/Nerf/etc. aftermarket step tubes that fit a 2010 4Runner? Or are they not on the market yet?

the running boards came standard on the truck. the TE running boards are apparently not available in the states for some dumb reason. and i havent seen anything in the aftermarket area yet and i keep checkin regularly.

I just picked up my Black Trail tonight Wondering if you can do me a favor. Any chance of snapping a few pics of where your running boards are mounted to underneath? I kept my running boards off my 2006 Sport 4R and might try to use them on my 2010. Juts want to be sure of the mounting points

I'll get a few pics of the mounting points on the r-boards.
On the weekend, I drove over a 3-foot snow bank, and guess what was the only thing to scrape on the snow?
No damage at all, not even a mark as the snow was really soft, but the sound kinda worried me and I wondered if the tube type might be better for a TE.
Will post pics tomorrow.

I really appreciate it! Me and some friends of mine are going to try and tackle the RB project maybe on Sunday if not sometime next week. The tube boards will hopefully look ok on my TE. On a side note, I just took my TE in some snow here in WI and it was a blast. I tried out every feature from the locking rear diff, to crawl control, and even MT select and ATRAC. I must say in 4lo with ATRAC on and the rear diff locked, its a beast for traction!!!!!!!

Note the dealer added heated cloth seats using the stock locations....they are the best of both worlds, leather is cold in the winter and hot in summer...these work great with none of the drawbacks.

Really like the fabric seats. Seat heaters on fabric is best combo ever.

Think the tube steps would look hot, better than the snowboard type. Looking forward to seeing some pics in the snow.
