hey fellow yota mates! i am from the frozen north... ie Canada
I am as weird as is seems. i am an off road nut that dosen't off road very much i will post pics of my toys and you will see they are rather clean! now before i get hate posts as i have before. I now have the TIME and funds to adventure/break stuff. I now have one of my dream rides! i have 2 out of 3! a first gen 4runner is the perfect rig IMHO ! so i will do my best to log my build and trail trials! and here is what i am starting with... and what i already had. The last pic is what i practice crashing on.

Welcome from a few hours west of you. Those are all nice rides, the FJC looks sweet with those wheels and man that is one clean 1st gen. I know what they typically look like around here and that one looks brand new compared to the others.

Your story sounds very familiar to mine, I enjoy nothing better than heading out to the hills to do some wheeling. But life and funds always find a way to not let me go. Glad to hear you got your side figured out, hope you have fun with it.

Ever try Safari Offroad Park around you? Me and a couple others went there in February a couple years ago, had a great time.
