I am going to go with 4xinnovations, I really like the design of the bumper. Also, does anyone know how long it it usually takes for the insurance to contact me again once they contact the other party. It has been a couple of days without hearing back from insurance.

Depends on the insurance company. If you have the claim number you can call your insurance company and have them see what progress has been made so far.

Also - here's some pictures of what I did with my bumper, and some installation pictures. I received the bumper as bare steel. First thing I did was wipe it down with denatured alcohol, and then put 3-4 coats of bed liner on it. If you off-road you will scrape it some, and it's a lot easier to touch up the spots with bed liner than repaint it.

I do have the claim number, I'll give them a call in a minute and find out what's going on. That looks very nice on your 4Runner, makes it look badass! That's a good idea on bed lining it, I'll have to do that!

That damage is super minimal. Be thankful. Some idiot drove his hands crv into my back end last year at about 30-40kms. His Honda heap was pushed in and leaking everything out. But I just needed a new bumper assembly. We are lucky with our all metal bumpers

So, I finally went to a collision place to get a estimate. The total is 945.19 for repairs. For the rear bumper, it is $255.03 for RT Extension Chrome and 166.64 for Extension plate w/o spare on gate. So, I am wondering how I can convince the insurance into giving me that money, so I can get the custom bumper I want. It is my first time dealing with this kinda stuff, so what can I do to get me that custom bumper?

The couple of wrecks I've been in, that's the way it has worked. I'm pretty sure it usually works in their favor. My wife's old honda wagon was rear ended and they actually thought they could repair it for less than totaling it out. They gave us their quote and instead of taking it we said sure, work with the insurance company and fix it. Needless to say, after they started looking for parts and what-not, they changed their tune and totaled it out.
You can also ask for more if you missed work because of it, or if they total the car and it has a full tank of gas, or a nice stereo...$945 sounds pretty sweet for a dented bumper though.

Yes. 945 will definetly get you nice new bumper.

The insurance company will more than likely just cut you a check. If they have to work with a body shop/repair shop you can INSIST on OEM which would cost the insurance company much more for the repairs.
If they ask you - just tell them you plan on doing the work yourself. Take the check they cut for you - and get the bumper you want.
It helps that the accident wasn't your fault.
